Fork lift drivers for afternoon shift 14:00-22:00
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of operations and ensuring that products are handled safely and effectively.
Duties
- Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.
- Move materials to designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and organisation.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against packing lists.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment is essential.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is highly desirable.
- Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks is an advantage.
- Experience in materials handling, including load unloading, is beneficial.
- A strong understanding of warehouse management systems will be considered an asset.
