Sewing Machine Mechanic

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Sewing Machine Mechanic to support the smooth running of manufacturing site. If you're hands-on, proactive, and passionate about machine maintenance – this could be your next move.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Ensure top performance and upkeep of sewing lines
  • Diagnose, resolve, and prevent mechanical faults
  • Lead daily maintenance scheduling across all lines
  • Work with operators to identify root causes and improve output
  • Maintain clean, safe workspaces to Health & Safety standards
  • Teach operators blade changes and provide ongoing technical support
  • Contribute to preventative maintenance plans and process improvements

What You'll Need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and high safety standards
  • Good understanding of permits, risk assessments & safe working practices
  • Flexibility to cover for holidays, peak periods, or sickness
