SEN Teaching Assistant - Mitcham | 100-125 per day | Start ASAP

A welcoming and inclusive school in Mitcham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in reaching their full potential within a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

Key Details:

  • Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Location: MItcham

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Daily Rate: 100-125 (depending on experience)

  • Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent placement)



Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with a range of special educational needs

  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support plans

  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents/carers



Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, speech & language, etc.) preferred

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential
