We're partnering with a values-led housing provider to recruit an experienced Income Officer to join their Resident Services team on a fixed-term basis. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in rent collection and arrears management will directly support residents to sustain their tenancies and regain financial stability.

This opportunity would suit someone who thrives in a people-facing, outcomes-focused role, balancing empathy with professional judgement and who wants their work to genuinely make a difference.

The role

As an Income Officer you'll manage a caseload of rent accounts, working proactively to prevent arrears, agree repayment plans and support residents through financial challenges. You'll work closely with colleagues and partner agencies, using early intervention to achieve positive outcomes.

About you

You'll bring:

  • Housing income / rent arrears experience (RSL, LA or similar)
  • Strong understanding of HB / UC
  • Confidence working with vulnerable residents
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Welsh language skills are desirable
