We’re on the lookout for a proactive, technically capable Goods Inwards Inspector to join a world-class engineering team at a globally recognised heavy machinery manufacturer. Responsibilities:
- Inspecting and approving components and materials from suppliers – including 1st-off samples
- Performing dimensional checks using tools like micrometers, verniers, calipers, depth gauges, surface measuring tools, and CMM equipment
- Identifying quality issues and leading the process through to resolution – ownership matters
- Evaluating warranty returns and working cross-functionally with engineers to reach technical conclusions
- Recording issues, data and actions using systems like SAP, Q-Pulse, and Excel
- Supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives across the quality function

Experience required:
- A strong personality with the confidence to challenge, ask questions, and investigate root causes
- Previous inspection experience in automotive, oil & gas, construction equipment, marine, precision or assembly (or similar) industries
- Solid knowledge of engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience using CMM machines, measurement tools, and digital platforms such as Power BI, SAP, or Q-Pulse
- Someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes initiative, and can juggle multiple tasks at once
