Decarbonisation SurveyorTemporary Contract – 3 months (with strong potential for extension)Location: Rhondda Rate: £22.50 - £29.93 per hour We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Decarbonisation Surveyor to join one of our clients on a temporary basis to support the delivery of a major sustainability-driven housing programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in improving the energy efficiency of residential properties. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Supporting the Planned Maintenance and Decarbonisation Manager in the delivery and oversight of retrofit and energy-efficiency projects.
  • Working collaboratively with a range of contractors and stakeholders to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality delivery of a large-scale residential decarbonisation programme.
  • Conducting regular site visits and inspections (daily/weekly as required) to monitor progress, verify compliance, and address on-site issues.
  • Overseeing works including but not limited to:
    • External Wall Insulation (EWI)
    • Internal Wall Insulation (IWI)
    • Solar PV installations
    • Potentially other fabric-first or renewable energy measures
  • Ensuring all works are delivered in line with PAS 2035, health & safety standards, and any relevant grant or funding requirements.
  • Assisting with documentation, reporting, and handovers as required.
 Ideal Candidate: 
  • Experience in property surveying or construction oversight, particularly within social housing, retrofit, or energy efficiency contexts.
  • Working knowledge of decarbonisation measures, especially EWI, IWI, and solar technologies.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple site visits and contractor relationships.
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in building surveying, construction management, or retrofit coordination (desirable but not essential).
