About the RoleWe are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our committed team within our Special Educational Needs SEN provision. You will work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges.

Key Responsibilities-
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN

Assist with adapting learning materials and delivering differentiated activities

Support students' emotional, social, and behavioural development

Implement behaviour management strategies under teacher guidance

Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

Help with personal care and mobility needs where required

Monitor progress and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs/EHCPs)

Experience working with children with special educational needs (essential/preferred)

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work flexibly and as part of a supportive team

A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) or willingness to work towards one

Knowledge of SEN strategies such as Makaton, PECS, or sensory integration (desirable)
