SEN Teacher

Salary: M1 - UPS1.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join our esteemed Special Needs School in New Malden. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs across all Key Stages

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the unique needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and inspire students in their learning journey.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional well-being and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
  • Employ effective behaviour management techniques to promote a safe and focused learning environment.
  • Provide regular feedback to students, parents, and the school leadership team on student progress.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and caregivers to support the holistic development of each student.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a recognised teaching qualification with experience in teaching students with special educational needs.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of SEN teaching strategies and methodologies.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Exhibits empathy, patience, and a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Has experience working across all Key Stages, with a strong grasp of the national curriculum.s..
