We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Welder to join a growing engineering team based in Newark. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling high-quality components that meet strict performance and safety standards. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong technical background in welding and mechanical fitting.



What You'll Do

  • Carry out TIG and MMA (stick welding) on a range of materials to precise specifications.

  • Work from engineering drawings and blueprints, ensuring accuracy in all fabrication and fitting tasks.

  • Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble parts.

  • Undertake mechanical fitting and alignment of assemblies, ensuring full functionality.

  • Inspect completed work to confirm compliance with quality requirements.

  • Contribute to continuous improvements in production processes.

  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment, following all health and safety practices.

  • Provide support to colleagues across different areas of the workshop when required.



What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with strong skills in TIG and MMA techniques.

  • Solid mechanical fitting knowledge, including fault-finding and problem-solving ability.

  • Experience working with sheet metal and general fabrication processes.

  • Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings.

  • Strong numerical ability for accurate measurement and layout work.

  • Previous experience with assembly tasks is desirable.
