Macildowie are actively seeking a Finance Assistant to work for a well established business based in Kirkby in Ashfield (NG17).

This is a full time position, initially an interim role which has the potential to turn into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Working hours - 37.5 hours a week (onsite), flexibility on start and finish times. (8am -4pm / 08:30 - 4:30pm / 09:00 - 5:00pm).

Salary is £26,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is immediately available, has a background in accounts payable and someone who is a team player and happy to get involved with the whole finance function. Plenty of opportunity to have a variety of work to be involved in, with the priority being Accounts Payable.

Key Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Process purchase invoices accurately and on time
  • Help with preparing and running regular payment runs
  • Support credit control activities to help manage customer payments
  • Answer phone calls and assist with finance-related queries
  • Respond to emails in a shared finance inbox
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Provide cover for other finance team members when they are absent
  • Assist with cash book and bank reconciliations
