Audit SeniorLocation: Newcastle-upon-TyneSalary: £35,000-£40,000 per yearOverview and OpportunityWe are supporting our client in their search for an Audit Senior with practice experience in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, with a salary on offer of £35,000-£40,000 per year.Job DescriptionIn this role, you will support in delivering consistent revenue and profitability targets by taking ownership of your own portfolio of clients.This role will require candidates to regularly travel to their clients sites to provide tailored accounting support.Role Responsibilities:

  • Heavily involved in the completion of audit fieldwork/planned substantive and analytical audit procedures
  • Responsible for planning and completion of audit assignments, whilst ensuring audit files have appropriate and sufficient documentation
  • Prepare statutory financial statements from client data and highlight high level risk areas to leaders within the business
  • Planning the execution and finalisation of the audit assignments for client review

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an Audit Senior role with an established accountancy practice
  • ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent qualified
  • Working knowledge of IFRS/UKGAAP
  • Experience of auditing clients within a variety of industries
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Exceptional attention to detail
