Permanent Sub Agent Opportunity – Civil Engineering Projects
Our client, a well-respected civil engineering contractor, is seeking to appoint a permanent Sub Agent to play a key role in the delivery of high-profile projects in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to make a meaningful contribution to a major development scheme.
Role Overview
They are looking for a qualified Civil Engineer to assume the role of Sub Agent, supporting the technical, quality, scheduling, and contractual aspects of project delivery. The role offers a wide range of responsibilities and the opportunity to progress into a dynamic and well-rounded Sub Agent position.
Key Responsibilities

Managing the construction site to ensure safe and efficient operations

Attending pre-start and progress meetings to align project goals

Preparing site documentation, including risk assessments and method statements

Monitoring cost control and scheduling to ensure projects remain on track

Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and programme standards

Maintaining high-quality project documentation and records
-
Reporting contractual milestones and progress to the client
Qualifications & Skills Required

Minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering
-
Experience within civil engineering in a contracting environment is preferred

Experience in the power, energy, or renewables sectors
-
Familiarity with NEC contracts is advantageous
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Willingness to work away from home, as projects may be located across Scotland
