The RoleExciting Opportunity with a Forward-Thinking, High-Growth BusinessNigel Wright is pleased to be partnering with a dynamic and rapidly growing professional firm in Newcastle upon Tyne in their search for a highly skilled Executive Assistant to support their senior leadership team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a degree-educated professional (from a Russell Group university or global equivalent) to join a progressive organisation and play a key role in its continued success.Key responsibilities will typically include:Ā 
  • Assisting the Equities team in building relationships directly with corporates
  • Assisting in organising regular contact with portfolio companies as well as engagement with a wider universe of relevant corporates
  • Supporting the preparation of presentation materialsĀ 
  • Supporting with the planning, logistics and execution of conferences
  • Actively monitoring for corporate roadshows and field trips
  • Communicating key business prioritiesĀ 
  • Liaising directly with corporate access desks and engaging with internal members of staff across all departments, at all times exercising a professional and approachable mannerĀ 
  • Gatekeeping diaries and keeping abreast of stakeholders’ meeting schedulesĀ 
  • Screening calls, facilitating conference calls and managing ad hoc correspondence with external partiesĀ 
  • Coordination of business travel, including booking transport and accommodation, and preparing itinerariesĀ 
  • Conducting ad hoc projects, research, administration, and record-keepingĀ 
  • Working with members of the wider Business Administration and Executive Assistant teams to provide support to the firm as required.
The PersonSkills/Attributes:
  • Minimum academic requirements of 2:1 Bachelor’s degree from a Russell Group university with good A-level grades (or international equivalents)Ā 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar roleĀ 
  • Very strong administrative and IT skills, in particular strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word skillsĀ 
  • Experience of handling highly sensitive information with tact, diplomacy and discretionĀ 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skillsĀ 
  • Demonstrates a solution-oriented approach and a proactive attitude with the ability to maintain momentum towards objectives and deadlinesĀ 
  • Demonstrates close attention to detailĀ 
  • Ability to deal with competing priorities, prioritise and demonstrate a disciplined thought process and an ability to anticipate needsĀ 
  • Good team player, strong work ethic, confident and energeticĀ 
  • The ability to cooperate effectively with the wider Business Administration teamĀ
