My client are a top UK based construction and civil engineering contractor. Operating nationwide, delivering schemes within the energy ,transport/ infrastructure and aviation. They are looking to onboard a site manager to help deliver a new project being delivered in the North East.
Site manager responsibilities:
- Implementing and monitoring health, safety, quality, and environmental (SHEQ) standards to ensure compliance with water industry regulations.
- Leading and managing site-based teams and subcontractors to drive operational excellence.
- Delivering projects within budget and agreed timelines while proactively managing risks and programme adjustments.
- Contributing to P6 planning during the design stage and ensuring site lookaheads maximise efficiency.
- Collaborating on the Construction Phase Plan using digital platforms to streamline operations
- Reviewing and ensuring compliance with contract documentation
- Providing accurate and timely weekly and monthly SHEQ reports.
Site manager requirements:
- Relevant CSCS management card.
- SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme) or an equivalent internal course.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- In-depth knowledge of SHEQ, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, supervisors, and on-site teams.
