An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join the maintenance team in the Newcastle/Middlesborough area.

JOB PURPOSE

To carry out planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance in line with service-level agreements, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and customer service are consistently met.

JOB DUTIES

  • Undertake scheduled and emergency refrigeration maintenance across client sites.

  • Deliver work in line with agreed specifications, within the allocated timeframes.

  • Identify and resolve technical faults and maintenance issues efficiently.

  • Communicate with the Account Manager to support effective service delivery.

  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures and company policies.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the company vehicle (if provided).

  • Complete job-related paperwork and updates on internal and client systems.

  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

  • Develop strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and site teams.

  • Deliver planned and reactive works with a focus on quality and safety.

  • Support the business in meeting key performance and compliance targets.

  • Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and safe working practices.

  • Be flexible with travel and task allocation in line with operational needs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Previous experience in commercial refrigeration maintenance.

  • F-Gas 2079 certification (essential).

  • Strong working knowledge of maintenance procedures and compliance standards.

  • Ability to work independently or within a team structure.

  • Excellent communication, fault-finding, and organisational skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • A positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
