About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Key Account Manager to join our team at a leading manufacturing organisation based in Newburn. This is an office-based role with no travel required, ideal for someone with a strong background in customer service who is looking to step into a more commercially focused position.

As a Key Account Manager, you will act as the vital link between our customers and internal teams. Your primary responsibility will be to manage incoming sales enquiries via phone and email, process orders, and identify opportunities to maximise sales through excellent service and account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls and emails from key clients, providing prompt and professional support.
  • Process sales orders accurately and efficiently using internal systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts to encourage repeat business.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities based on customer needs and buying patterns.
  • Liaise with internal departments (production, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks and reporting as required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a customer service or sales support role, ideally within a manufacturing or B2B environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to spot commercial opportunities and act on them.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, phone and email-based environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/order processing systems.
