This critical leadership role will oversee financial operations at a major production facility in the Newport area. The site plays a central role in supplying a diverse range of chilled food products to some of the UK's most recognisable retailers and operates within a fast-paced, high-volume environmentWith a workforce in the thousands and a strong culture of investment and innovation, the site offers a fast-paced, commercially focused environment-ideal for a results-driven leader ready to influence strategic and operational direction.About the RoleAs Head of Finance, you will be a core part of the senior leadership team. Your responsibilities will span strategic planning, operational support, and financial governance. You'll play a key role in driving performance, enabling growth, and ensuring the financial resilience of the site.Head of Finance Key Responsibilities* Lead and develop the on-site finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability* Deliver financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive profitability* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in collaboration with operational teams* Ensure strong financial control, compliance, and alignment with group governance standardsAbout YouYou are a commercially minded finance leader with experience in FMCG or complex manufacturing environments. You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings and have a proven ability to drive value, lead teams, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.Essential:* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5+ years post-qualification experience* Strong background in financial reporting and operational finance within manufacturing* Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilitiesDesirable:* Experience in chilled or short shelf-life product environments* Exposure to lean finance or financial systems/process improvement initiatives* Track record of leading teams through change and transformationThis is a fantastic opportunity to shape the financial direction of a high-performing site within a UK food manufacturing group.
