QUALITY MANAGER REQUIRED IN NEWPORT, SHROPSHIRE!!

Are you an experienced Quality Manager from within the Food Manufacturing industry, and do you have a minimum of 3 years experience at a Quality Management level?!

We are seeking a Quality Manager to join a well established food manufacturer in Newport (Shropshire), the working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, and the role comes with an annual salary of £45,000 per annum (there could be some movement on the salary for someone that ticks all of the boxes).

We are looking for someone who has a good amount of experience in BRC and QMS, dealing with audits, visits and EHO and who can demonstrate a proven track record in improving Food Quality and Food Safety.

The hiring manager is looking for someone who has a HACCP level 3 minimum, Level 4 would be desirable.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure on-site quality assurance processes are robust, from incoming raw materials to finished products.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve systems to maintain AA-grade BRC certification and HACCP compliance.
  • Lead factory inspections to promote Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) through cross-functional teamwork.
  • Manage non-conformance and hold procedures, ensuring effective root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Oversee complaint investigations and product release processes, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality standards.
  • Provide technical support for New Product Development (NPD) and collaborate with commercial teams for aligned customer communication.

What You Will Bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years proven experience in quality management within a food manufacturing environment supplying UK retailers.
  • Strong knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP (minimum level 3), and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • HACCP Level 3 as a minimum requirement, Level 4 would be desirable
  • A track record of successfully managing audits, inspections, and compliance processes.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams.
  • A proactive, customer-focused attitude and commercial awareness to drive continuous improvement.
