We are working exclusively with an established leading brand within the UK who are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a full time permanent basis.
The successful candidate will join a driven finance team and will be responsible for:
- Collection of outstanding debts , both commercial and consumer debt
- Maintaining accurate customer records
- Contacting customers by phone, letter and email
- Monitoring account balances and ensuring timely payments within agreed terms
- Liaising with departments to resolve any disputes
- Escalate high risk accounts when necessary to the Finance Manager
- Setting up customer accounts
- Allocating payments
- Producing aged debt reports
- Dealing with rebate and reclaims
- Processing credit application forms
- Negotiating payment plans
Ideal candidates:
- Previous credit control experience ideally in manufacturing
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadline s
- Opera experience - an advantage
- Strong Excel skills including VLookUps
