Main Function

To provide and manage the engineering input on specific projects and to support the Senior Engineer

Key Functional Areas

To provide cost effective/innovative design solutions and in a timely manner

To ensure that individual projects run smoothly from an engineering perspective

To keep the Technical Director informed of key issues

To be able to act upon instructions from the Technical Director

To always work in compliance with the relevant CDM regulations and fulfil the gateways contained within the Miller Homes CDM tracker.

To adhere to all relevant processes and procedures at all times.

Key Capabilities Required

(1) Skills, Capabilities and attributes

To have the ability to design, manage and supervise projects and to ensure that external consultants and sub-contractors understand their brief and provide their respective input in a clear, timely and cost effective manner

Be able to evaluate reports and provide cost effective design solutions for land appraisals and land purchase

(2) Behavioural Attributes

To be able to take instructions and act upon them in a prompt and positive way

(3) Knowledge, Experience and Qualification

To be qualified to HNC/HND level and have a sound knowledge and understanding of engineering issues often encountered by house-builders

To have strong communication and presentation skills

To be aware of emerging legislation and the impact on the business
