We are seeking a talented Supply Chain Manager to join a fast-paced global manufacturer. This role focuses on enhancing supply chain, production planning, and purchasing processes with the core objective of driving operational excellence. As part of the UK Management Team, you will report directly to the Managing Director and play a crucial role in strategic decision-making.
Day-to-day of the role:- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
- Utilise strong analytical skills to review and analyse data frequently, providing accurate and timely production and supply forecasting.
- Manage all aspects of production planning and associated requirements for the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance supplier relationships.
- Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and mitigate risks throughout the supply chain.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize supply chain efficiency, including knowledge of Customs and Container programs.
- Lead a team of professionals, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance.
- CIPS or a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field, or qualified by experience with a minimum of 5-10 years.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a strategic global mindset.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting supplier partnerships.
- Proficiency in procurement software, Excel, and in-house MRP systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience managing a small purchasing team and successfully leading and mentoring individuals to maximise productivity and cost-saving results.
