Assistant Accountant - 12-Month FTC
The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is currently working for a market leading and very reputable business in recruiting a part-qualified Assistant Accountant to join their fantastic Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in preparing annual budgets (P&L, cashflow, balance sheet)
- Produce monthly management accounts, including accruals and variance analysis
- Complete monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Assist with preparation and analysis of cash reporting
- Support with preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and support finance projects
- Contribute to the external audit and process improvements
You must have the following skills and attributes:
- Part-qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
- Experience in management accounts, budgeting, VAT, and cash management
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Desirable: experience in multi-site environments.
