Day to day responsibilities of the Sales Director:

  • Define and drive a clear, motivating sales vision and culture that aligns with business objectives, energises the team, and promotes accountability, collaboration, and growth.
  • Establish KPIs and performance benchmarks across the sales funnel, and build the structure, tools, and cadence needed to meet or exceed them.
  • Coach and develop all team members, including top performers and underperformers, through regular 1:1s, feedback loops, and tailored growth plans.
  • Take full ownership of daily sales operations.
  • Build scalable systems, repeatable processes, and a team structure that grows with us.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to align lead generation and outbound strategy.
  • Lead with visibility, energy, and belief, inspiring the team through clear communication, goal-setting, and a strong presence across all levels.

Preferred experience of the next Sales Director:

  • 5+ years in senior sales leadership roles (Sales Director, Head of Sales or similar), with a proven ability to lead and scale high-performing teams
  • Experience managing sales teams of 15 or more, ideally within finance, commercial lending, or brokerage environments
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, particularly commercial loans and asset finance
  • Deep expertise in CRM-driven performance management, with a preference for experience using HubSpot
  • A track record of coaching talent, lifting team performance, and consistently driving revenue growth
  • Inspirational leadership style that promotes focus, professionalism, and a strong sense of ambition
