Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Technical Expert you will be undertaking and providing the technical development and coaching direction to the Commercial Loss Adjusting team who handle claims in the field typically for losses up to £250,000, but the majority are likely to be under £100,000.
  • Working from a home base you will be expected to make associated recommendations, in line with customer propositions, product policies, risk strategy and appetite, and business strategy and performance targets.
  • You will spend some of your time as a referral point guiding the team on technical matters when assessing scene of loss/events, gathering relevant information, documenting findings and advising customers. You will also be required to take audit output to monitor leakage and other defined areas of process compliance and in turn using your findings and knowledge to report and identify training and development issues.
  • You will be field based working in various locations and may also handle your own case load dealing with customers on a one to one basis on higher value claims managing your claims on an end-to-end project managed basis. You will have strong analytical, communication and organisation skills.
  • You can live anywhere within the UK and be prepared to travel when required.

About You:

Candidates must have an excellent background in commercial claims ideally up to and including major loss. Ideally you will have professional qualification such as ACII or ACILA or working towards these and an industry recognised disaster management qualification such as BDMA Insurance Tech or similar would be advantageous.
