Are you organised, detail-focused, and confident with numbers? We're a growing, fast-moving business based in Northampton, and we're looking for a Temporary Payroll Administrator to support our team for a minimum of 6 months.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with data, can meet deadlines under pressure, and is comfortable using Excel and Sage 50 Payroll.

What you'll be doing:

  • Running accurate monthly payrolls for staff across several sites

  • Processing weekly updates like sick leave, training hours, corrections, and time adjustments

  • Keeping employee records and timesheets accurate and up to date

  • Uploading payroll reports into Sage 50 Payroll

  • Responding to payroll questions and sorting out any issues quickly

  • Working closely with HR, finance, and site managers

  • Carrying out manual payroll calculations when needed

  • Working independently and as part of a wider team

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a payroll role (Payroll Administrator or similar)

  • Confident with Sage 50 Payroll

  • Great attention to detail and strong communication skills

  • Trustworthy and able to handle sensitive information with care

  • Able to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment

Your background:

  • At least 1 year of experience in payroll or a similar role

  • Solid Excel skills - including formulas, pivot tables, and data checks
