Starting ASAP, this specialist SEN school, that focuses on children who have severe behavioural needs and learning difficulties, is looking to appoint a new teacher to take on a small class. The students in the class have complex needs which includes challenging behaviour so this post will only be suitable to experienced teachers who have previously taught in an SEN setting. The school has been providing an outstanding level of care, support and education to its students for the past 20 years. The school is totally inclusive and offers every student all the help they need to achieve their very best. The school has built a relationship of trust with the parents of its students who are fully involved in school life at every opportunity.

Role requirements - SEN Teacher - Northampton, Northamptonshire

  • Qualified Teacher Status from either a Primary or Secondary background with SEN experience.
  • Challenging behaviour is commonplace and a calm, understanding teacher who can assert themselves will be required.
  • There is plenty of support including several LSA's in each class plus an excellent leadership team who offer ongoing CPD.
  • A great understanding and high level of experience of working with SEN pupils is necessary!
