Job Title: MIG Welder

Location: Northampton

Shift: Mon - Thurs 7:30am - 4:30pm Fri 7:30am - 2:30pm

Salary: 13.50 - 14.50 P/H

Company Overview: Well established, UK leading manufacturer.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding on mild steel

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols

  • Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding parameters and consumables

  • Ensure welds are clean, consistent, and meet quality standards

  • Carry out basic fabrication, such as cutting, grinding, and tack welding

  • Inspect finished work for accuracy, defects, and overall quality

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health & safety policies

  • Work to production schedules and deadlines, both independently and as part of a team

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, inspectors, and other team members

Previous Experience:

  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding specifications

  • Confident working with mild steel and various thicknesses

  • Knowledge of welding standards, tolerances, and inspection methods

  • Skilled in using grinders, saws, and other hand tools related to fabrication

  • Ability to maintain high-quality standards while working efficiently
