Job Title: MIG Welder
Location: Northampton
Shift: Mon - Thurs 7:30am - 4:30pm Fri 7:30am - 2:30pm
Salary: 13.50 - 14.50 P/H
Company Overview: Well established, UK leading manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding on mild steel
Read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding parameters and consumables
Ensure welds are clean, consistent, and meet quality standards
Carry out basic fabrication, such as cutting, grinding, and tack welding
Inspect finished work for accuracy, defects, and overall quality
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health & safety policies
Work to production schedules and deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
Communicate effectively with supervisors, inspectors, and other team members
Previous Experience:
Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding specifications
Confident working with mild steel and various thicknesses
Knowledge of welding standards, tolerances, and inspection methods
Skilled in using grinders, saws, and other hand tools related to fabrication
Ability to maintain high-quality standards while working efficiently
