Are you a skilled Electrical/Electronics or Instrumentation Technician, or recently completed an apprenticeship in a relevant technical field? Are you looking for a dynamic and varied role in a research and development environment? If so, we want to hear from you.

We are an established and respected engineering and technical consultancy working across some of the most advanced and safety-critical sectors in the world — including Space & Vacuum, Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Transport industries. From spacecraft mechanisms to cutting-edge vacuum testing environments, we support innovation through independent testing, calibration, analysis, and bespoke engineering solutions.

We're now looking for an enthusiastic and motivated technician to join our team at our modern facility in Warrington, helping to deliver high-quality support for instrumentation, electronics, and specialist testing projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Install, maintain and calibrate electrical/electronic equipment and instrumentation.

  • Support research, prototyping, and commissioning activities across various technical departments.

  • Read and create basic electronic designs and PCB layouts.

  • Manufacture and maintain bespoke lab equipment (e.g. motor drives, control boxes, switch systems).

  • Work in ISO Class 7 cleanroom environments on high-specification hardware.

  • Carry out in-house calibrations and manage external calibration schedules.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems.

What We're Looking For:

  • Completed apprenticeship or qualification (e.g. HNC, BTEC, NVQ) in Electronics, Instrumentation, or related discipline.

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in sectors like Aerospace, Defence, Military or Industrial Controls.

  • Strong understanding of instrumentation and control principles (servo/stepper motors, sensors, transducers, etc.).

  • Good practical experience in wiring, soldering, PCB assembly, and fault diagnosis.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and follow procedures accurately.

  • Comfortable working in a laboratory or cleanroom environment.

  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
