Core Education is recruiting for an experienced and motivated SENCO to join a specialist SEN provision based in Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Role Overview of SENCO role:
- Position:Â SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
- Location:Â Cheshire
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm (term time only)
- Timetable:Â Some teaching & full SENCO duties
- Type:Â Temporary to Permanent (for the right candidate)
- Daily Rate: £200 – £300 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- Start date: ASAPÂ
The Ideal Candidate for the SENCO role will:
- Hold a recognised SENCO qualification (preferred)
- Have proven experience as a SENCO, ideally in a specialist or alternative provision
- Be confident working with Primary aged children in Key stage 2
- Have strong knowledge of SEMH and strategies to support learners effectively
- Be experienced in managing EHCPs, coordinating support plans, and liaising with multi-agency teams
- Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for inclusive education
