Young Persons Progression Coach TemporaryFull time (including sleep ins)Cheshire West and Chester Our clientMorgan Hunt are supporting a national homeless prevention charity who are looking to recruit a full time, temporary Young Peoples Progression Coach. This role will be based in Winsford, working on a flexible rota that includes evenings, weekends, sleep ins and bank holidays.The service provides support services to Semi - Independent care leavers aged 16-8. The service supports the young people to develop independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene. Managing budgets and supporting young people to access programmes for education, training, and employment are also essential parts of the role.The role - Young Peoples Progression Coach路 Undertake both lone working and working within a team responsible for delivering supported accommodation for young people aged 16 - 18.路 Support young people so that they can develop the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.路 Manage a caseload of young people, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs. 路 Running individual and group support sessions and other key activities within the supported accommodation to help them progress towards independence.路 Maintain regular contact with the young people and recording interactions.路 Liaise with external organisations around the needs of young people i.e. social workers.路 Health and safety of the properties, ensuring any repairs are raised and completed.路 Complete risk assessments and support plans for young people.The candidate路 Excellent communication skills and commitment to the company values and ethos of the organisation.路 Experience in working with care leavers, young people or other vulnerable groups.路 Experience of Safeguarding in children and adults and operating safeguarding requirements and procedures.路 Experience of using Risk Assessments and Support Planning tools.路 Experience of managing a case load, recording and record keeping路 Experience and confidence of lone working.Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced DBS is required for the role of Young Persons Progression Coach is required.
