We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to maximise and profitably grow revenue through managing and growing an existing customer portfolio, prospecting and converting new business opportunities, while championing the company’s values and vision for growth. This role sets the standard of excellence within our operating sector, ideally suited for someone with a passion for the FMCG industry, particularly in the frozen and chilled food sector.
Day-to-day of the role:- Daily management of customer accounts, both key and developing, and building relationships with key decision makers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to meet customer expectations and requirements.
- Manage the full sales journey, from initial engagement to final negotiation.
- Demonstrate strategic and innovative thinking to create new opportunities to expand listed product ranges within current accounts.
- Maintain timely communication with all stakeholders, ensuring excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactively seek new opportunities for sales to increase profitable growth.
- Analyse sales data to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring optimal stock holding to deliver service levels.
- Responsible for forecasting and monthly budget reporting with accountability of P&L.
- Interpret customer briefs and translate customer feedback to produce deliverables which meet the brief.
- Execute sales pitches, retain current product portfolio, and secure new business.
- Independently create and issue quotations, and negotiate with customers to close deals swiftly while ensuring optimal profit margins.
- Attend customer and supplier meetings, and industry conferences/events to enhance business relationships and foster new leads.
- Assist with project coordination to ensure timely product launches.
- Stay updated with customer and competitor ranges, with an awareness of product trends and market gaps, creating opportunities to present new product development or cross/upsell products.
- Collaborate as part of a team, sharing knowledge, ideas, and product samples to ensure overall team success.
