Berry Recruitment are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to work for a successful manufacturing client based in Norwich.

This is a varied and challenging role, but your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all engineering works are completed promptly, efficiently and to the correct standard to minimise plant downtime; coupled with a proactive approach to OEE improvement. You will also be heavily involved with the management team in identifying continuous improvement opportunity and developing the site PPM plans with the Lead Projects Engineer.

Responsibilities:

The role is varied and will include:

  • Maintaining and improving all plant, processes and assets to a safe, efficient and reliable standard.
  • Day to day maintenance and improvement of plant, assets and services.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with H&S standards.
  • Partaking in development of safe working practice
  • Ensure the completion of the PPM tasks and formulate improved maintenance practices.

Skills:

  • Electrical knowledge & experience (fault finding)
  • Mechanical knowledge & experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum in a related engineering qualification accompanied with experience.
  • IT literate, able to use Microsoft applications
  • FLT licence advantageous

The hours will be day shift but some flexibility is required due to the nature of the business.

Salary will depend on experience, between £38,000-£40,000.
