Horticulture Laboratory Assistant
Our prestigious Norwich based client, (part of a cluster of internationally renowned research organisations), are currently recruiting for Horticulture Laboratory Assistant to join their team.
This is a full time position working 37 hours per week on a temporary basis for approximately 8 weeks located in Norwich.
Main Activities & Responsibilities
- Growth media preparation and delivery
- Restocking sundry items
- Plant waste handling
- As agreed with Line Manager, any other duties commensurate with the nature of the role
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent
- Experience of working with machinery/equipment
- Experience of working with plants
- Experience of working in a research environment
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Promotes equality and values diversity
- Willingness to embrace the expected values of the Institute, ensuring it is a great place to work
- Full UK driving licence, or ability to travel across sites as required
- Willingness to work outside standard working hours when required
