We are currently seeking a Steel Detailer with industry experience to join our growing in-house design and detailing team. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a solid grounding in steel detailing who is ready to take on more responsibility and develop further within a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment.You will be involved in the detailing of bespoke steel foundations (including screw piling and ground beams) as well as hybrid load-bearing cold-formed and structural steel superstructures. Our projects are primarily within the residential and utilities sectors, with growing involvement in industrial and leisure schemes.Working closely with structural engineers, procurement, factory production and site teams, you will play a key role in producing high-quality, buildable fabrication drawings to support manufacturing and on-site delivery. The role offers exposure to both traditional structural steel and innovative construction methods.Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce accurate fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and production teams to ensure drawings meet project and manufacturing requirements
  • Contribute to internal coordination and workflow planning
  • Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, buildability and project deadlines
  • Support the integration of detailing with broader project delivery
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in steel detailing
  • Proficient in the use of Tekla Structures or AutoCAD
  • Sound understanding of steel fabrication methods
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communication and teamworking abilities
Desirable:
  • Experience with cold-formed steel detailing
  • Familiarity with FrameCAD software (training can be provided)
