In this vital role, you'll be providing high-level administrative, communication, and organisational support to the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director and Leaders, and to the Chief of Staff. Your work will help ensure the smooth and effective running of our executive functions.

You'll act as a key point of contact on behalf of the Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff, using sound judgment to assess priorities, manage inquiries, and plan ahead. You'll handle proactive diary management, business communications, and essential support for senior leadership. Working closely with the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT), you'll help coordinate weekly meetings and ensure all documentation and forward plans are maintained and delivered on time.

This role involves working with Councillors, external stakeholders and staff across the One Team, preparing agendas and supporting documents, and coordinating the delivery of performance management, business planning, and priority projects. You'll also play a key part in supporting our "two councils, one team" culture, working collaboratively across departments to deliver shared outcomes and organisational goals.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need experience in a similar executive support or senior PA position, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and communicate clearly at all levels. You should have excellent organisational skills, a flexible mindset, and a passion for public service. The ability to work under your own initiative, combined with a strong sense of teamwork and alignment with our values, is essential.
