An exciting opportunity to join a market leading manufacturer who is seeking a National Business Development Manager to join their team and drive Sales with OEM's, Engineering and Manufacturing, Construction, Food Manufacturing, Automotive, etc

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across targeted sectors. You will be responsible for expanding market presence, nurturing long-term customer relationships, and delivering sustainable sales growth. This is a strategic role requiring a combination of market insight, technical acumen, and commercial focus.

Description

  • Identify and target new customer segments and business opportunities within key markets.

  • Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with commercial objectives.

  • Generate qualified leads through networking, research, cold calling, and attending industry events.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, decision-makers, and industry stakeholders.

  • Managing existing customers, ensuring you are delivering high levels of customer service
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring outstanding service delivery and satisfaction.

  • Understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.

  • Provide regular feedback to the senior management team on market conditions, customer insights, and product performance.

  • Support the development of pricing strategies, product positioning, and marketing campaigns.

  • Liaise with internal teams (technical, production, logistics) to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently and accurately.

  • Collaborate with the Internal Sales team to ensure you are achieving consistent growth with all customers

Profile

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, construction products, metals, or engineering sectors.

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to travel across the UK

  • Technical background or understanding of perforated metal applications.

  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics)

  • Results-oriented with a proactive and self-motivated mindset.

  • Strategic thinker with an analytical approach to problem-solving
