Finance Manager | Nottingham | £55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits
Looking for a role with real flexibility, but still want to be part of something ambitious and fast-moving? This PE-backed business has scaled at speed and continues to grow through acquisitions, giving you the chance to lead improvements, oversee a small team, and help shape the finance function for the future – all with a hybrid setup that’s as flexible as they come (just one day a fortnight in the office).
This is a leadership role with broad exposure across operational finance – you'll be focused on reviewing, improving, and streamlining finance processes, rather than being hands-on with the numbers. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll oversee a small team, lead on reporting and controls, and play a key part in system developments and business-wide analysis.
What’s in it for you?
- Hybrid working – just one day every two weeks in the office, the rest is up to you
- Genuine progression opportunities – with a clear route to Financial Controller or senior project/commercial roles as the business continues to scale
- A competitive salary (£55,000 - £60,000) + 5% flex pot for perks via the company benefits portal
- Private healthcare, Dental, 26 days holiday (+ bank holidays), and matched pension scheme
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Overseeing the operational finance function – including systems, purchase ledger, credit control, cash management, and expenses
- Reviewing and improving finance processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and control across core reporting areas
- Producing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reporting packs
- Collaborating with the Credit Control team to ensure debtor alignment with reconciliations
- Supporting system enhancements and ensuring financial data integrity
- Providing insight and challenge to improve cost allocation and departmental reporting
- Managing and supporting a small team of finance staff (2 direct reports)
This is a chance to step into a leadership role within a high-growth business, where you’ll influence change, drive improvements, and support further acquisitions – all while maintaining a strong work-life balance.
What You’ll Need:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA)
- Strong technical grounding with a commercial mindset
- Comfortable leading small teams and driving process improvements
- Able to commute to Nottingham for team collaboration (typically one day every two weeks)
