We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide individual support for a Year 2 pupils with special educational needs.

Your time will be, ensuring he receives tailored help in his learning, communication, and emotional development.

We are a mainstream Primary school In Nottingham. The hours for this role are 08:15-15.30 Monday to Friday. 

Fixed term until Easter, with potential for extension and permanent employment for a suitable candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in 1:1 or small group settings, tailoring learning approaches to individual needs.

  • Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development.

  • Support classroom learning activities and adapt resources as needed.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, preferably in a school or educational setting.

  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and individualized support.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, restorative approach.
