Long Term Futures is on the lookout for a strong, confident, and committed Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist Alternative Provision in Sherwood. You'll be working with Key Stage 3 and 4 students who need firm boundaries, consistent guidance and a role model they can respect and trust.

If you've got the resilience, presence, and drive to keep young people on track, this is your opportunity to make a real difference where it counts.

The Role

  • Work 1:1 with students to keep them focused and engaged in lessons
  • Put behaviour management strategies into action and adapt them on the spot
  • Teach positive decision-making and help students control their emotions
  • Build mutual respect and long-term trust with young people
  • Support behaviour intervention plans and keep staff updated on progress
  • Be a steady, positive influence throughout the day

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with challenging behaviour, SEN, or SEMH
  • Calm under pressure, confident in your approach, and able to hold your ground
  • Background in schools, PRUs, youth work, sports coaching, or mentoring (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Resilient, consistent, and proactive in tough situations
