Sonic Summary

People Solutions is seeking a Class 2 Driver with split gearbox experience for a position in the Oldham area, working Monday to Friday from 07:00-16:00 or 08:00-17:00 at a rate of £13.74 per hour.
Candidates must possess an in-date UK CPC Card, UK Digi Card, and a valid UK Category C Licence, with no more than six penalty points.
The role involves making up to ten deliveries per day, operating various Category C vehicles, and performing vehicle inspections while adhering to traffic laws.

CLASS 2 DRIVER - SPLIT GEARBOX EXPERIENCE NEEDED

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 07:00-1600 or 08:00-1700

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Oldham area.

To be eligible for this role, you must have experience operating a split gearbox.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not limited to:

Complete up to ten drops per day
This role will involve making multiple deliveries of furniture components while acting as an ambassador for the company.
Be prepared to use pump truck to unload the stock (but majority of the clients will unload stock themselves)
Operate and drive various Category C vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.

Essential Skills

As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:

Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card.
Split gearbox experience
Hold a valid UK Category C Licence Driving Licence: (CLASS 2) NEW PASS DRIVERS WELCOME
No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English.
Manual handling experience
Multi-drop delivery experience

Desirable Experience

Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial

Training

Training provided on first shift
Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
