HGV Driver Class 1 C+E and Class 2 - Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Driver to join our team. We are looking for Class 2 drivers and Class 1 C+E drivers to work for a family run business in general haulage. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations in a timely and safe manner using a Moffett forklift. We transport both general goods and dangerous goods. If you are a skilled driver with a with proven experience seeking a new chapter in your career this role is for you. Previous Moffett experience is desired but the right candidate will receive training.

HGV Driver Class 1 C+E and Class 2 - Duties:
  • Safely operate curtain sided trailers and demonstrate the securing of goods per DVSA Guidelines.
  • Load and unload product using appropriate equipment (Moffett forklift) following health and safety at all times
  • Transport Dangerous goods
  • Perform truck and trailer inspections before and after each trip
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries ensuring PODS are adequately signed
  • Be able to work night outs as and when required
  • Must have a professional and flexible approach when representing the company having a can do attitude
HGV Driver Class 1 C+E and Class 2 - Requirements:
  • Hold a valid commercial vehicle driving licence (Category C + E) old class 1 or (Class 2)
  • Hold a valid and up to date CPC card
  • Proven driving experience for 2 years minimum
  • Excellent driving skills
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel long distances and stay away overnight
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Strong work ethics
  • Flexible in work and willing to get hands dirty
  • Good presentation dedicated to ensuring the cleanliness of truck allocated to you
