Are you an experienced Merchandiser looking to work for a leading organisation that is going through an exciting period of growth? Do you have Advanced Excel skills?

Our Client is a leading importer, supplying major retailers in the UK and due to their ever-expanding growth they now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Merchandiser to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for forecasting and sales analysis for given range.
  • Review historical sales figures and record lessons learned through the season
  • Liaising with factories and Quality department to ensure shipment dates are met for ongoing and new lines.
  • Recognising when issues need to be flagged up with the business to a senior management
  • To manage your products and report any potential issues to the Manager in a timely manner.
  • Manage the intake of stock within given stock turn targets.
  • Manage own stock to maximise availability, whilst reducing discontinued exposure.
  • Assisting with range planning through Ranking meetings.
  • Plan initial buys for new lines.
  • Managing the system to ensure products are set up correctly and factories have sufficient information.
  • Collate and manage potential discontinued products.

The successful candidate will need to have previous experience working as a Merchandiser - preferably within retailer/importer environment with knowledge of forecasting and report writing. You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel as well as solid communication & articulation skills and have the ability to multi task.
