The QA Technologist plays a pivotal role in ensuring product ranges meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety across every stage of development. Working in partnership with Buying, Design, Merchandising, and our global supplier base, this role will safeguard product integrity, support continuous improvement, and help deliver great products that customers can trust.
Duties include:
- Manage all aspects of the product development and compliance lifecycle.
- Partner with Buying and Design teams to provide technical expertise across the product range.
- Stay current with product safety legislation and ensure Far East suppliers meet all relevant standards.
- Provide technical support to sales teams and retail customers once products are in market.
- Collaborate with the QA Manager to drive improvements across QA processes and workflows.
- Work with Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure all product needs are met on the critical path.
- Deliver project outputs to agreed deadlines.
- Implement Corrective Action Plans in response to customer and manufacturing feedback.
- Oversee the Far East supplier base, ensuring compliance with ethical and social auditing requirements.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in quality assurance, product inspections, auditing, and corrective action plans (preferred).
- Good working knowledge of product safety legislation and compliance standards.
- Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
