Robert Half are pleased to be partnering exclusively with a public school based in Oxford to recruit a part time Accountant. The Accountant is expected to work 25-30 hours a week and will receive a salary of up to £35,000 (FTE) along with other attractive benefits including hybrid remote working and a free lunch!

Primary responsibilities;

  • Financial Management, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting
  • Billing - invoicing parents and chasing debtors
  • Banking - making payments, bank reconciliations, dealing with direct debits
  • Daily cash management
  • Management Accounting - reporting against budget, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Ad hoc accountancy tasks supporting the Bursar
  • Procurement

Key experience and attributes;

  • Financial Management, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting skills
  • Experience in accounting software and financial systems
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Experience in the education sector is a plus
