The Role of Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will be a key member of the management team. You will be managing the day to day financial operations and providing support to assist decision making and adding value throughout the business.

Core responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the financial performance is monitored and controlled in a fit for purpose manner in line with stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensuring the day to day transactional processing is carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensuring a fit for purpose controlenvironment for the company is in place at all times.
  • Be responsible for all insurance matters.
  • Be responsible for adherence to and maintenance of standards and processes.
  • Be responsible for the daily management of cash.
  • Assisting in the annual budget process for.
  • Be the focal point for liaison with external advisors.

The Candidate for Financial Controller

  • ACA, ACCA, ACMA. QBE
  • Wide range of experience and understanding of the finance and control environment of a growing SME. This is a standalone role so whilst specific industry experience isn’t essential the ability to deal with the ambiguities inherent in a start up is,
  • Strong, up to date technical knowledge
  • Strong computer literacy; experience in use, development, and modelling of spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of R and D tax credits would be advantageous

Please note although there is some flexibility the role requires you to be the office 3 days per week including Monday and Thursday.
