Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives? Do you have the skills and experience to support Key Stage 2 pupils with behavioural needs? We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Oxford to recruit a dedicated KS2 Behaviour Specialist to join their team from September 2025.

The Role:
As a KS2 Behaviour Specialist, you will work closely with classroom teachers, SENCOs and support staff to help pupils regulate their behaviour and engage positively with learning. You will provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, using de-escalation strategies, behaviour management techniques, and restorative approaches to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs in KS2

  • Work collaboratively with staff to implement behaviour support plans

  • Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation techniques

  • Build trusting relationships with pupils and act as a positive role model

  • Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, ideally within KS2

  • A calm, consistent and empathetic approach to behaviour management

  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support or SEMH (desirable)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
