A well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join its growing Oxford team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to progress into a Senior Surveyor role and beyond, working with high-profile clients across a diverse UK property portfolio.

You'll join a developing team focused on delivering high-quality surveying services to key client accounts, with the chance to help shape team culture and mentor junior colleagues as the group grows.

The role offers a blend of office-based collaboration, site inspections across the UK, and flexibility for hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop detailed client briefs alongside senior colleagues
  • Deliver project work and professional instructions across commercial, retail, and education sectors
  • Produce designs, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Administer JCT contracts
  • Undertake a broad range of professional services including:
    • Condition surveys
    • Specific defect analysis
    • Party wall matters
    • Dilapidations
    • Reinstatement cost assessments
  • Manage relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Support team leaders in mentoring junior staff and managing project finances
  • Contribute to client development and internal team growth

Candidate Requirements

  • MRICS qualified
  • Proven experience advising on commercial, retail, or educational properties
  • Comfortable leading both project and professional workstreams
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (NBS Chorus experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
