Reed Finance are partnered with a leading healthcare charity to recruit a new Head of Finance on a fixed-term basis. Supporting and partnering with the CEO you will oversee the charity finance function and support a small, dedicated transactional team.

This charity supports excellence in patient care across a network of hospitals, supports staff wellbeing, and provides medical equipment beyond core NHS funding. If you want to be part of a meaningful organisation in a complex environment then please read on.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership of the finance team
  • Monthly, quarterly and yearly schedules including Month End Management Accounts, quarterly cashflow forecasts, and Statutory Accounts
  • Audit liaison
  • Tax and VAT returns, ensuring accurate treatment and reporting of tax matters relevant to charitable activities.
  • Compliance with financial reporting standards including SORP
  • Monitoring and reporting on quarterly operating expenditures
  • Gift Aid activities

This role offers a fixed-term position of six months with a start date asap, so is only open to those immediately available or on short notice. Salary offered is circa £60k and is open to those on a day rate (PAYE/Umbrella)
