A respected Oxford-based accountancy practice is seeking a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join their expanding tax team. This role is ideal for someone with strong corporate tax experience who is ready to take on more responsibility, manage a diverse portfolio, and support the development of junior staff.

As Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of corporate clients ranging from SMEs to large businesses, supporting both compliance and advisory work. You’ll work closely with senior management and partners on more complex assignments and advisory projects, as well as mentor more junior team members.

• Managing the preparation and review of corporation tax returns and computations
• Providing support on advisory projects including R&D claims, group restructures, capital allowances and tax planning
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and offering proactive tax advice
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff, including reviewing work and assisting with training
• Keeping up to date with changes in corporate tax legislation
• Supporting the tax team in developing the firm’s corporate tax services

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or close to qualification)
• Strong experience in corporate tax within a UK accountancy practice
• Excellent technical knowledge and commercial awareness
• Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex tax issues to clients
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• A genuine interest in corporate tax and ongoing professional development

• £45,000 to £50,000 per annum
