I am looking for a Production Engineer to join my fantastic client on a permanent basis. As the Production Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the design, manufacturing and testing of low fidelity models and manufacturing processes across our product portfolio.

Responsibilities:
- Work with our Technical leads across our product portfolio to develop CAD/CAM models and drawings for parts and sub-assemblies
- Design, build and characterisation of jigs and fixtures, required for testing of products
- Build breadboards and development models and support test campaigns, as required.
- Create and write Manufacturing and Assembly Procedures (MAPS) for different manufacturing operations.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, as a part of MAIT (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Testing) check/approval routine.
- Supporting the technical buyer with technical inputs and discussions with external suppliers through the procurement cycle.
- Supervise manufacturing processes to ensure high quality work is completed to the highest safety standards
- Diagnose problems in design and or production and provide recommendations and advise on resolving them
- Review NCRs and provide technical inputs when requested by Product Assurance Manager
- Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production and sharing this knowledge with others particularly within the Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration & Design (MAIT) team
- Create production plans for live and forecasted projects
- Analysis of the production approach to make recommendations for improvement
Essential Experience
- Experience in production within a highly regulated industry (preferably Space sector)
- Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Thorough understanding of engineering drawing principles and metrology is a must
- Excellent communication and influencing skills and proficient with MS Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
- Excellent team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Proactive and innovative approach to problem solving presenting findings and solutions
- Ability to plan and organise workload across multiple projects ensuring deadlines are met
